Job Description

Reducing carbon dioxide emissions to mitigate the risk of catastrophic climate change is the most important challenge facing humanity today. At the heart of this challenge, is the need to completely transform the energy system from today’s dependency on fossil fuels to a zero carbon emissions one.

The Opportunity  

We are looking for Process Engineers across all grades given the need for this skill set in areas such as blue and green hydrogen production, power to X and carbon capture technologies.  Commissions will be with a range of clients, technologies, and project values, depending on your expertise and experience, with a strong emphasis on the integration of multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality technical and commercial analysis. 

Key qualities we are looking for in candidates include:  

  • Experience of Process engineering design on multi-disciplinary projects.  
  • Developing concept designs and FEED studies 
  • Experience of working in or leading process teams to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget  
  • Process safety design for utility systems  
  • Working within a gated design and project delivery process Co-ordinating the work of others and liaison with engineers of other disciplines  
  • Development of process data sheets: pressure relief valves, control valves, pumps, etc.  
  • Acting as the process designer in the HAZOP teams 
  • Highly analytical and digitally literate. 


  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant engineering or commercial subject. 
  • Ideally a Masters or other post-graduate qualification(s) in relevant subject(s). 
  • Chartered or working towards chartership of a relevant institution.

  • City decarbonisation  
  • Hydrogen  
  • Low carbon transport  
  • Nuclear  
  • Offshore wind  
  • Utility networks (electricity and gas), including interconnectors
