Job Description

Reducing carbon dioxide emissions to mitigate the risk of catastrophic climate change is the most important challenge facing humanity today. At the heart of this challenge, is the need to completely transform the energy system from today’s dependency on fossil fuels to a zero carbon emissions one.

The Opportunity  

We are looking for experts within Process Improvement & Operations for our Energy team across all grades. There is an imperative for many organisations in the energy sector to transform themselves, whilst improving their processes and maintaining efficient operations. Key qualities we are looking for in candidates include: 

  • Able to lead the diagnostic of operational performance opportunities, development of recommendations and presentation of solutions that address a range of client needs and challenges, business case development, performance improvement activities and benefits delivery. 
  • Knowledge of best practice business performance diagnostic tools and process improvement tools  
  • Experience of reviewing and analysing operational performance and operational design, supporting the development of the business case for change initiatives. 
  • Able to apply knowledge and proven application of business change and organisational development tools and techniques to make a recommendation to client challenges. 
  • Experience in the energy sector ideally with a track record in a consultancy business, though transferrable relevant experience will be considered. 
  • Highly analytical and digitally literate. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant subject. 
  • Ideally a Masters or other post-graduate qualification(s) in relevant subject(s). 
  • Chartered or working towards chartership of a relevant institution.  
  • 6 Sigma black belt

  • City decarbonisation  
  • Hydrogen  
  • Low carbon transport  
  • Nuclear  
  • Offshore wind  
  • Utility networks (electricity and gas), including interconnectors
