Process Engineer


Our proposal is to employ a Process, Senior Engineer to provide discipline leadership from concept stage to final handover in the Science,

Industry and Technology (SI&T) sector.  The leader will grow out process engineering team organically with our need.

The Life Sciences process leaders will:

  • Work with our business leaders in the SI&T to win new work in the Life Sciences sector.

  • Develop, grow and maintain new client relationships in the Life Science sector.

  • Develop our capability in Life Sciences Process design in a regulated and non-regulated environment alongside and with our existing process team in the UK.

  • Work with and manage external process partners where required.

  • Develop process design documents and specifications.

  • Have a significant client /market facing role.


The specific knowledge needed is as follows: -

  • Full understanding of the requirements of cGMP and regulatory guidelines, especially as it relates to equipment, qualification and validation.

  • Cleanliness Classifications for aseptic and non-aseptic clean rooms.

  • Primary and Secondary Packaging equipment for the sciences industry.             

  • Process steps for Fill Finish buildings and their technologies.

  • Development of PFDs and P&IDs.

  • Design of process systems and associated clean utilities.

  • Process Equipment sizing and selection.

  • Develop process design documents and specifications.

  • Completion of Design Risk Assessments and HAZOPs

  • Lead the process design for front end and detail design engineering phases.

  • Prepare User Requirement Specifications.

  • Vendor Management, Audit and FAT.       

  • Process, Material (raw, finished & Waste) and People flows.            

  • CQV.    

  • Solids, semi solids & liquids.       

  • Formulation.      

  • Regulatory requirements.

  • Process/bioprocess and clean utility design.            

  • Process architecture.        

  • Single use (disposable) technologies.         

  • Vaccine manufacturing facilities. 

  • Lean design.      

  • Process analytical technology.     

  • Automation.      

  • Process simulations.


The Process leaders would sit in our SI&T delivery teams in one of the European hubs (Cork, Amsterdam or Berlin) and growth will be organic to meet our client’s and business demands. Growth will be supported by the Process team in Leeds and by the business requirements across the EU.

The Process, Hazard engineer should have a minimum of 10 -15 years’ experience in a regulated pharmaceutical or MedTech industry and have a Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process or Manufacturing Engineering.
