Job Description

The Global Engineering Services Division is responsible for the implementation of BASF's plant construction projects. We advise and support the various corporate divisions by providing expert services throughout the plant's life cycle, such as automation, process or mechanical engineering. We push forward innovations in all areas of the chemical industry - and turn laboratory developments into worldwide production plants.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Our team is responsible for the execution of capital projects for the catalysts division in Europe, with a strong focus on battery recycling and hydrometallurgy.

  • As a Project Engineer you will coordinate and contribute to engineering activities with internal as well as external working groups across all project phases from conception to execution.
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for timely, functional and cost-effective execution of the project work.
  • Last but not least, you will continuously identify potential for optimization and improvement and will be responsible for implementation, further development and emerging knowledge transfer.

 


QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Master's degree or diploma in process engineering or related fields
  • At least 2 years of experience as a project or process engineer
  • Relevant experience in battery recycling or hydrometallurgy
  • Understanding of engineering deliverables for large capital projects and multi-discipline projects
  • Strong communication skills in English and comfortable working in a global environment
  • Entrepreneurial action, the constant desire to drive innovation and out of the box thinking
