We are seeking a Refining Process Engineer specialized in Distillation and Hydrotreating to join the Technical Support Division (TSD)
The TSD is a multi-disciplinary organization with interface to technical, and in some cases business, support requirements of the GM. Its function caters mainly to the technical needs of admin area head, operating facilities management (4 refineries/2 NGL Fractionation plants), and drive the performances of operating facilities in executing corporate programs and initiatives towards operational excellence and value creation.
The engineer will act as a process engineer support consultant to solve refining operation problems, and recommend and implement enhancement to operations, and mentor new and existing process engineers.
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineer.
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in refinery process engineering, refining process technology (design/operation), refinery project techno-economic development and evaluation.
Expertise in Crude Distillation and Hydrotreating processing.
Relevant industry expertise and solid experience in refinery operation, refinery technical support, and refinery project development and implementation
Duties & Responsibilities
You are expected to perform the following:
Lead day to day operation and troubleshooting and unit enhancement
Participate in the technical development process from screening through closure, and develop detailed improvement opportunities as well as estimates costs, prepare justifications and completes expenditure requests as required.
Lead unit’s startup & shutdown procedures review and be responsible for issuing/reviewing operating procedures to ensure the flawless start-up of the unit and sustainable smooth operation
Initiate detailed work outline and makes decision as to basic approaches, processes and/or equipment.
Work and/or delegates work to other engineers for final development of specialized or technical proposals and proposed projects.
Conduct reviews of proposals and present briefs to senior management.
