Job Description



We are a team of experts in plant and process safety. We work on exciting challenges for the further development of the site in close and trusting cooperation with our production and infrastructure companies. In doing so, we always have the safety of our colleagues and neighbors and the protection of the environment in line with legal requirements in mind. We are looking for support for the followings tasks:


  • Leading, coordinating and facilitating interdisciplinary teams to conduct systematic safety reviews for new and existing plants as well as production processes including the required documentation
  • Advising on-site operations on process and plant safety issues and supporting operations in the implementation of requirements of the technical regulations
  • Assessment of changes in plants, processes and material with regard to safe process management and advice on their relevance for approval with regard to the German Federal Immission Control Act (Bundesimmissionsschutzgesetz)
  • Preparation of plant-specific parts of the safety report
  • Conducting training courses on the subject of process and plant safety
  • Follow-up of measures from safety assessments and licensing procedures
  • Participation in projects relating to plant and process safety and environmental protection



  • Completed studies (Master's degree), specializing in technical chemistry, chemical engineering, safety engineering or comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in HSE, chemical production and/or project management of process plants required
  • Good knowledge of process and work flows in the chemical or chemical-pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of methods for safety-related consideration of chemical processes and plants (e.g. PAAG process)
  • Expertise in national laws, ordinances and regulations on safety, environmental protection and technical law (in particular Federal Immission Control Act, Hazardous Incident Ordinance, Industrial Safety and Health Ordinance)
  • Ability to work in a team as well as strong communication and moderation skills
  • Persuasiveness and a result-oriented and problem-solving approach, even for complex tasks
  • Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken
