We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced process engineer focussed on the development and delivery of business in the Life Sciences sector as part of a dynamic, fast growing and friendly Process Engineering team. Whilst the team is based in Leeds, there is flexibility in the location of the role as the work will be delivered nationally and worldwide, with collaboration across Arup offices and supporting a wide range of leading clients.
With a multi-disciplined team Arup can offer a process engineering orientated approach to the delivery of cost-effective solutions. The in-house capability allows Arup to undertake projects from the development of conceptual designs and feasibility studies through to the detailed process design. Through our close collaboration with key clients, we offer the benefit of our professional and highly skilled team of process engineers and technologists, to carryout innovative designs, cost value engineering and plant optimisation.
This is a growing discipline which we see as being critical to the diversification of our business and initiatives are in-place to ensure stable growth over the next 5 years. As part of this team you will be involved with maintaining technical governance, training and development of junior engineers and injecting ideas for growth.
You will be responsible for the design, delivery and management of multiple projects in the Science, Industry and Technology market and specifically Life Sciences- co-ordinating inputs from many different people/specialists and working closely with key stakeholders to deliver innovative and appropriate solutions which exceed expectations, within tight budgets and timescales. You will strategically influence the business in collaboration with regional business leaders and support business growth. You will be professionally active, innovating and future thinking.

Client facing and engineering related support will be a key part of your role. Your duties will be highly varied including taking part in or managing studies, preparing proposals, attending client meetings, join multi-disciplinary meetings, visiting sites and supporting engagement with academic institutions. You will also be expected to take part in mentoring and assist with the learning and development of junior engineers.
You will be responsible for performing process feasibility studies and the process design of new and modified Biopharmaceutical plant. This will include technology transfer of customer processes to manufacturing assets.
