What will you do?
Support the introduction and improvement of Manufacturing processes. Provide technical support to Engineering and other departments to support new equipment installations in Manufacturing.
Perform flow simulations and piping network analysis. Assist in campaign preparations. Generate change requests for necessary equipment changes.
Perform process simulations and other calculations to aid in campaign preparation or capital project execution. Identify and exploit opportunities to improve production efficiencies through new or improved systems.
Perform process fits for potential new products.
Generate process flow diagrams, material balances and sequence time diagrams as needed.
Lead or Participate in cross-disciplinary project teams, as necessary.
Administer, document, and maintain the Patheon Quality Systems conformance to regulatory requirements and company policies where appropriate through effective utilization of Patheon Quality Systems tools, as well as direct actions.
Drive continuous improvement in EH&S/Quality/Efficiency to improve right first time in all areas. Manage the technical aspects of the process including approving/reviewing lifecycle documents including P&IDs, criticality assessments, Quality Risk Assessments, Qualification Validation documentation, and EH&S Process Hazards Analysis.
Ensures documents are accurate and current. Provide technical expertise in end to end processes including facility design, materials, cleaning, planning, maintaining, producing, and shipping.
Assist in Process and Technology Transfers. Maintain state-of-the-art expertise in pharmaceutical and chemical processing technology.
Ensure Regulatory Compliance. Mentor other engineers and personnel.
Conduct technical training.
Perform other duties as required.
How will you get there?
To competently perform this job, a candidate will need the knowledge and skills generally obtained with a BS in Chemical Engineering. An advanced degree is preferred.
10+ years of related experience, with at least 5 years pharmaceutical experience.
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
