Due to continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager / Chemical Engineer with ATEX or DSEAR experience to lead and manage our Ethanol plant. You will be the key technical lead on a multi-million pound expansion project and will have the opportunity to change processes, make improvements and complete asset replacement which will improve efficiency and quality of production. Key responsibilities - Chemical Project Manager: • Manage the Ethanol team to ensure a safe environment, within an inclusive and engaging culture for all employees. To ensure customer order requirements are met on time, in full and to the specified quality standards. • Maintain inventory accuracy to support Supply Chain commitments, whilst engaging Lean Manufacturing methodology and principles to deliver required product stream performance, to budget, ensuring Safety, Environmental, Quality and Production goals are met. Maintaining appropriate resource levels to deliver business objectives and customer service expectations. • Lead the Ethanol technical objectives delivery encompassing life cycle and capacity management in line with MDI 5 Year Plan. • Act as a mentor for technicians and operations providing support when required to achieve business goals and role model Core Values in all activities undertaken. Skills & Experience required - Chemical Project Manager: • Chemical Engineering degree with significant experience in high hazard environment • Project Management experience (CAPEX / Capital Expenditure highly desirable) • Excellent communication, reporting and inter-personal skills to manage team and engage with internal and external customers. • Strong risk assessment experience. Able to apply knowledge and experience to quantify risks (specifically HAZOP/LOPA). • Working knowledge of cGMP, quality and H&S regulations.
