For our largest European production site in Wesseling/Knapsack near Cologne, we are looking for a

Process Engineer (f/m/d)

The purpose of the job is to act as support for our monomer and utilities operations for all types of process related topics. It is also part of our internal development program to train engineers for future task in our company.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Trouble shooting in the daily business of operations units
• Monitoring and improvement of energy efficiency of operations units
• Support and execution of concept and feasibility studies inhouse or in cooperation with external contractors
• Support project teams during Basic and Detail Engineering with external contractors
• Support during Process Hazardous Analysis (PHA) for operations units
• Optimization of operations units with regard to capacity and safety
• Improve reliability and ensure sustainable operation of operations units
• Participation in incident investigation and development of solutions to prevent similar situations in the future
• Contribution to technical networks with local and international participants to help sharing experiences all over the company
• Simulation and modelling of processes with different simulation tools

Min. Qualifications

• Master in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering
• Knowledge in process simulations like e.g. Aspen or Hysis is beneficial
• Very good analytical skills
• Very good communication and networking skills
• Language: German, English
