For our client Syngenta Crop Protection in Münchwilen (AG), we are looking for someone to start immediately:

HSE Specialist

Purpose of the role

As an HSE Specialist, you will support the HSE team in Münchwilen and coordinate safety-related tasks in the areas of health, safety, and environment. Your responsibilities include identifying and assessing risks, developing and implementing protective measures, and monitoring and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and standards to guarantee employee safety and environmental protection. 

They work in an interdisciplinary team that oversees the development and pilot plants for formulation and synthesis at the site, addressing all aspects of occupational safety and health, and coordinates the implementation of global guidelines and legal requirements.

Your challenge

  • Responsible as part of the team for the implementation of the Code of Practices in the area of ​​Health, Safety and Environment, including updating and revalidating the HSE Site Directives and related documents.
  • Support in conducting workplace and process risk analyses.
  • Support in managing waste, wastewater and exhaust air.
  • Contact person for the work permit process and Life Saving Rules.
  • Planning and conducting audits.
  • Conducting investigations and clarifications into the causes of incidents.
  • Supporting teammates during training sessions.
  • Consulting for internal clients on all aspects of occupational safety and health.

Qualifications

Your experience & skills

  • BSc, MSc or similar degree in Chemistry or Process Engineering with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in an international environment within a complex matrix organization. Knowledge of VUV, ArG and EKAS 6508 etc. ASGS is an advantage.
  • Excellent German and English skills.
  • Analytical thinking skills. Experience in project management is advantageous.
  • Excellent skills in communicating with interest groups at different levels.
  • High affinity for technology and innovation.
  • Motivation to work and learn in a fast-paced environment
