Process EngineerLocation: EssexSalary: andpound33-38,000 bonus great benefitsAs a Process Engineer you will apply and extend specialist technical knowledge to deliver improvements for the business goals of safety, reliability, productivity, efficiency and sustainability by solving engineering problems, conducting critical engineering tasks and the analysis and optimisation of plant processes.We are looking for a proactive and driven engineer, someone who will monitor andamp analyse plant performance to identify improvement opportunities and translate gaps into projects or improved operations procedures.The role: • To develop and apply engineering expertise to manage change and improve business performance • To provide specialist engineering knowledge to both internal andamp external stakeholders • To apply regulations, standards, guidance, and to develop company specifications and operating instructions • To coach, mentor andamp support team members • To proactively solve engineering problems using theoretical and practical methods • To engage with management and operators to understand current challenges and provide engineering and technical support • To select and develop appropriate tools to analyse engineering problems and develop solutions • To liaise effectively with the national engineering team, based in head office, to ensure appropriate resources are deployed • To analyse design proposals and existing installations to identify hazards and appropriate control measures to reduce process risk • To develop scope and specifications for projects, ensuring key stakeholders are engaged so that the proposed solutions satisfy the business case • To apply appropriate hazard identification and risk management systems, along with the application andamp improvement of safe systems of work • To develop detailed technical specifications and procedures • To undertake projects in a way that contributes to sustainable development • To develop, review, and approve task Method Statements and Risk AssessmentsThe person: • Be degree/HND qualified within a relevant engineering discipline • Have experience in engineering / LPG industry / manufacturing / process environment • Have previous experience with a high hazard process plant, knowledge of process safety, and COMAH regulations • Experience within the gas industry, industrial gases, and cryogenics is preferable • Strong knowledge of engineering principles andamp safety management systems • Having knowledge of COMAH and Process Safety Management and being able to apply safety analysis techniques such as HAZOP would be a distinct advantageTo apply please email your CV, or call for more details.
