Oil, Refining and Chemicals Risk Engineer
Our client is a major insurance services provider to high hazard facilities including marine, mass transport, refinery, petrochemical, oil and gas and power plant worldwide. With substantial experience of LNG, refinery or petrochemical operations, the jobholder will join a small but highly motivated team providing technical support and coherent reports to underwriters for the purposes of establishing risk and setting premiums.
Candidates will undertake physical/condition assessments, generate desk- top risk assessments and review processes, practices and procedures across site production, operations and maintenance departments. An understanding of business interruption issues associated with major, multi-unit downstream plant and their mitigation and management would be particularly welcome.
Our client is specifically seeking candidates with very significant recent production, technical support or EHS exposure acquired with down or mid-stream operating companies interested in moving into insurance. Design or project engineers are not sought at this time. Up to 80 days international travel a year can be expected. Spanish, French & Italian language skills would be particularly welcome.
