We are looking for a self-motivated and proactive Chemical Engineer to join the Ink Manufacturing Operation in Stirling. This role will be responsible for managing the safe and efficient operation of a key production process providing expertise in either Chemical Engineering or Process/Production Control. A requirement to support engineering projects such as new product/equipment or process introductions and continuous developments and ensuring a commitment to achieve the process production plan and optimises yields, efficiency and service levels.
Effective operation of chemical processes and ensure both plant and process operators work within safe conditions and minimise environmental impact. Ensure all staff are trained to standard and follow documented procedures.
Ensure manufacturing plan is adhered to and optimises yield and efficiency.
Monitor process, ensure that equipment performance and process trends are analysed and reviewed in a structured manner and recommendations for improvement are made and implemented. To include overall equipment effectiveness including Efficiency, Yield and Utilisation.
Ensure the PM Schedules for plant are carried out and equipment or product process variances are diagnosed and corrective actions completed quickly in a systematic manner.
Ensuring all records documentation and communication are adhered to.
Products and processes are designed and produced to minimise cost of manufacture and follow best safety and environmental practice.
Facilitating and leading continuous improvement teams.
Diagnostic and solutions system for the plant operation.

Must have the ability to operate as a technical expert, related to chemical processing and be able to apply an analytical and innovative approach to solving complex technical problems.
Must be self-motivated, proactive and a strong team player.
Good communication at all levels to ensure safety, environmental and process adherence throughout the site.
Must be able to prioritise and manage high pressure demands, with the ability to be self-managing and work to tight deadlines.
Must be flexible in order to meet the requirements of the business.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree level qualified within a technical discipline is essential; preferably in chemical engineering or similar.
At least 5 years proven ability within a similar technical role (chemical/process/manufacturing) environment, ideally with knowledge of ink processing.
