Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitoring and Support of Bioreactors, Centrifuges, Autoclaves, Glasswashers, UF skids, Chromatography skids, etc.
  • Provide Project support for engineering solutions and manage projects involving retrofits, optimization and acquisition of process systems.
  • Assist in resolving technical issues with equipment and production processes
  • Work with other manufacturing support groups to implement and maintain engineering systems, execute projects and communicate the status of operations
  • Capable of supervising the activities of contractors
  • Independently initiates proactive solutions
  • Provide support during off hours for complex issues that may arise to support ongoing VS operations
  • Lead investigations and discussions and recommend solutions with key customer groups in order to gain a consensus on the preventive and corrective actions

 

Work is assigned to the Process Engineer by the Process Engineering Manager. The Process Engineer will also take direction from Value Stream leads at site to support site objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

 

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline
  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a process engineer in the biopharmaceutical industry in a regulated GMP environment.
  • 3-5 years experience and depth of understanding of cell culture and/or purification, including but not limited to bioreactor systems, centrifuges, CIP skids, chromatography system operation, column performance and/or UF skid operation.
  • Project execution experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
