The role: We are looking to appoint a Process Safety Engineer, on a permanent basis to provide additional process safety support for our various business initiatives across the UK OFDs, the RAF Bases, Major Projects, and other appropriate areas, potentially such as Singapore, and Gibraltar.
The candidate is required to provide process safety and risk management support to line management, other functional teams, and stakeholders, through the application of risk management tools, such as DSEAR/HAC assessments, HAZOPs/HAZIDs, etc and assistance in the development and maintenance of MACR/ COMAH Safety Reports. These include assisting in developing, implementing, or participating in hazard assessment processes and workshops, to improve the organisations compliance to COMAH/MACR legislation and relevant good practice.
Due to operations over the assets being managed covering sites across, England, Scotland, and overseas, it necessitates a moderate amount of travel and need to spend nights away from home in order to carry out the duties required. Therefore, candidates will need to have a full (preferably clean) driving licence.

The candidate: An Engineering graduate with DSEAR experience and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a high risk (I.e. COMAH) industry, together with extensive experience in all aspects of process safety management, and understanding of the regulatory aspects of MAHs as these relate to tank storage operations and COMAH regulatory requirements.
The post holder will need to build and maintain, strong positive and creditable working relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external, therefore you will need excellent influencing skills, be able to communicate at all levels and be comfortable positively challenging when there are issues evident on project delivery.
