CEMCOR is an independent, locally owned company formed following the purchase of Lafarge Ireland Ltd in 2022. In the two years since the acquisition of the Cookstown plant, significant investments have been made in industry-leading upgrades with sustainability and efficiency at the forefront. One example of this investment is the multi-million pound investment in a new emissions filtration and abatement system. Significant investment has also been made to modernise packing facilities for our high quality packed cement products.

While CEMCOR may be a new name in the building materials market, we are continuing to cement our position as an industry leader by building on the 55 years of experience of cement production at our Cookstown plant through a greater focus on sustainability and carbon reductions.

Moving forward, CEMCOR is looking forward to playing a strong role in carbon reduction in the construction sector with development work continually ongoing to improve production efficiencies while developing the next generation of lower carbon cement products.
