Job Description   Our company is currently seeking a qualified synthetic organic chemist to join the Discovery Process Chemistry group at our South San Francisco, California site.   The core responsibility of the successful candidate will be to lead a team of scientists in the development of innovative solutions to complex chemistry problems across a diverse portfolio of projects in the discovery phase from lead identification through candidate selection.  The scientist is responsible for defining scalable synthetic routes and optimizing reactions and processes with the goal of expanding Structure-Activity Relationship exploration and accelerating the transition of candidate compounds to early development, as well as managing supply of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients at varying scales during this period.  Close collaboration with colleagues in Process Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, and enabling technologies, as well as a broad array of other...
