Background & Purpose of the Job The Controls and Automation Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of controls and electrical reliability. In addition, this person will drive the site masterplan for electrical systems and controls and automation aligned with the Unilever design teams including end to end execution of site controls/electrical/automation capital investment projects. This position supervises the Controls Technicians across all shifts as well as the IT Specialist.  The Controls and Automation Engineer will work in direct support of the Digital Factory workstream.  This includes the capture and manipulation of the data derived from the network of PLC’s and other production equipment data sources to identify losses and efficiency improvement opportunities.
