Natasha Young is recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer to join a speciality chemicals manufacturer based in Cheshire, on a full time, permanent basis. This company is a multinational manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of speciality chemicals such as flame retardants, biocides and personal care ingredients. 

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for the operational support of the current site production processes and their continuous improvement as well as new projects throughout the project lifecycle from the conceptual design, detailed design, construction & installation and commissioning. This will encompass close working with the site development chemists to take new chemistry routes through to full-scale production. 

Further responsibilities of this Senior Process Engineer will include: 

Production Support 

The preparation scopes of work from initial concept through the full project lifecycle. 

Gaining estimations and negotiating as necessary;• Overseeing projects from start to finish, including kick off meetings, review meetings & operations liaison 

You will prepare approval documentation and raise purchase orders. 

Overseeing the site work through to completion and will be responsible for all aspects of the contract and site supervision. 

The Senior Process/Project Engineer will ensure the project is formally closed off on completion. 

Escalating problems quickly to the Senior Management and help to identify and instigate solutions. 

Ensuring your projects adhere to Health and Safety legislation; 

Carrying out health and safety audits as required. 

Effectively project planning, review, cost control, change control, hand-over and acceptance procedures to meet the terms of the contract. 

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience: 

You will be a fully chartered Chemical Engineer qualified to degree or postgraduate level in an engineering discipline or strength in experience. 

Member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers 

Experience of Proven Engineering Management Experience within a top tier COMAH operational facility; 

Basic understanding of accountancy and financial control. 

Experience within a Multi-disciplinary Engineering team. 

Computer literate - Project ,Word, Excel, Access, and internet explorer
