Our Client operates a chemical process facility in the Staffordshire area. They currently seek to recruit an adept Process Engineer / Chemical Engineer and Assistant Plant Manager responsible for ensuring that process operations on site operate effectively, efficiently and safely, complying with current legislation. You will also be involved in the development, design, operation, control and optimisation of chemical processes on site.
Reporting to the Plant Manager you will be working within the manufacturing team management assisting plant operators to reach optimisation of existing plant and equipment by reducing batch times, utility requirements and down time.
You will be involved with designing and implementing programmes of work aimed at maximising process yield, and throughput, at minimising process utility consumption and process waste and at improving product quality and RFT performance. You will also be managing development, de-bottlenecking and capital investment projects with cross functional teams.
You will be educated to degree level in Chemical Engineering and have gained experience of carrying out process engineering activities within a Chemical or allied Process Industry, preferably within a high hazard environment.
It is essential that you are a good communicator with a good sense of humour. Confident, dynamic and personable. Taking in the mantle of Assistant Plant Manager, you will be the first point of call for the operators in most cases, as well as being a contact point with customers and suppliers.
