Refinery operations Insurance Risk Engineer - EHS/Environmental bias.
Our client is a global player in the high hazard oil and petroleum insurance sector, where it provides services that include insurance facilitation as well as risk mitigation and management to a range of clients operating top-tier COMAH regulated mid and downstream production facilities. The organisation is now looking for an engineer with direct experience of the operational, maintenance or production support /management of major refinery, LNG, petrochemical or other top- tier COMAH regulated chemical plant. The job holder will visit sites, undertake physical condition surveys and inspections, determine operating and maintenance practises and procedures, perform desk top risk assessments and produce detailed technical reports on risk for underwriters, carriers and clients. On this occasion, our client would be particularly interested in engineers/mangers with site based environmental /EHS experience acquired with a major downstream operating company. This could include responsibilities for IPPC liaison and applications with local authorities and government bodies, the monitoring and control of air and water emissions, investment and project impact studies, contributing to COMAH reports and reviews ,etc., etc.
Around 80 days international travel annually can be expected. Our client is not looking for process design or project engineers at this time.
