Chemical Production Engineer
·Evaluate current production activities and make recommendations for productivity/quality improvements and projects
·Responsible for applying statistical techniques in order to improve, track, investigate quality problems and meet customer requirements.
·Participate as lead operations representative in PHA’s and HAZOP studies
·Responsible for leading investigations and planning corrective action for nonconforming products.
·Responsible for assisting in investigations and planning corrective action with maintenance for equipment problems and bottlenecks. Assisting with annual maintenance shutdown.
·Responsible for maintaining data necessary to measure plant capacities. Areas of focus include production history, safety, quality, material inventories, maintenance, trouble reporting and training.
·Conducts a regular search of new materials, process, and procedures to enhance and improve the process, implement cost reduction, quality, and manufacturing cost.
·Follows PSM program requirements for implementation of process, product, raw material and equipment changes.
·Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
·Five years’ experience in chemical processing industry or comparable experience in manufacturing
·Experience with batch chemical processing and automated process control systems
·Ability to interpret CAD drawings and P&IDs
·Experience with ethylene oxide & propylene oxide or highly hazardous chemicals
·Experience with Honeywell DCS
