Our client is a leading consultant to the refinery and petrochemical sector that provides a wide range of economic and technical support to operating companies, banks, investors, government bodies and engineering houses. Their work includes operational profit enhancement, performance benchmarking, feasibility studies, improving linear programmes, due diligence, technology evaluation and recommendation, project development, etc. The business’s principal focus is to improve key refinery metrics such as yield, cost, flexibility and output through low or no cost improvement and support involving specialist analysis and insight, technology applications and a sophisticated understanding of LP models. The job holder will assist in detailed data collection and analysis, generate unit and plant performance benchmarks, undertake simulation modelling, develop flow sheets, input into technology development, support R&D tasks and prepare reports for clients. Candidates should have established skills in refinery/petrochemical plant operations and technical support, optimisation, process modelling and generating techno economic studies and proposals.
