Our client is a leading international premium consumer brands group which manufactures and distributes some of the best known and loved kitchen appliances and interior furnishings in the world. With offices spanning across the globe, our client have a brand that communicates with kitchens and homes everywhere.

Our client are now seeking an experienced and qualified Process Engineer (Chemicals & Finishes) on a full-time permanent basis to join their existing team from July.

The Main Duties of this Role will involve:

  • Developing paint and enamel processes/equipment and resolving daily production issues
  • Advising on technical issues as required, raised by Engineers and Production
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental legislation especially REACH and ROHS
  • Advising on Health and Safety (CoSHH)
  • Monitoring Legionella and risks associated with the cooling tower
  • Ordering paints, enamels, lubricants and chemicals
  • Monitoring and maintaining the effectiveness of Aqueous wash plant
  • Advising on materials for most suitable selection e.g. plastics, galvanic series and metals as required by Design and Supply Chain Management
  • Testing of parts to enamel and paint specifications, coordinating with suppliers to achieve specifications
  • Being the main contact for a number of well-known local authorities for consent legislation
  • Advising on substances across three sites, making changes as required to meet legislative requirements and cost
  • Making continuous improvements on materials and processes
  • Ensuring all procedures are documented for ISO 9001, 14001 and being involved throughout regular audits

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Having previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Experience within enamel finishes and a degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry
  • Training in Legionella and its associated risks
  • Have enthusiasm to see through a wide range of tasks
  • Have the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders at a variety of levels

Working Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm
  • Friday 7:30am - 12:30pm
