A global pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation is looking for a Process Engineer to join their plant in the Buckingamshire area on permanent basis.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager the core function of the role is to provide technical expertise to the Manufacturing department. Driving professional maintenance programs working with the site engineers to deal with breakdown recovery and corrective maintenance on process equipment determining root causes of failure / analysis (RCA).
The Process Engineer will lead process engineering projects, lean manufacturing line improvements, waste reduction and automation upgrade projects. Leading change control activities and troubleshooting plant related issues. Create and approval of URS's GMP Sheets, Engineering Procedures, Validation & upgrade of equipment.
In order to be considered for this position candidates will need to be a Degree qualified Engineer or equivalent (Apprentice trained / HND / HNC). Candidates will also need to have strong experience working within a Pharmaceutical / Biotech / Aseptic / Sterile / Food or similar highly regulated manufacturing environment and possess a strong understanding of cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
In addition to this candidates must be able to problem solve, provide development of improvement plans and root cause-analysis. Experience of commissioning and maintenance of complex plant and equipment. Project Management, ability to read and understand Engineering drawings and a strong understanding of Lead / Six Sigma & improvement projects.
The role for a Process Engineer may be suitable for candidates who have held positions such as Chemical Engineer, Project Engineer, Process Improvement Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Technical Support Engineer.
The role is based in Buckinghamshire and is commutable from Slough, High Wycombe, Maidenhead, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Aylesbury, Amersham, Reading, Middlesex, Oxford, Hatfield, St. Albans and other locations in the Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.
