Our client is one of the world’s largest players in the global insurance market. With a pre-eminent reputation for integrity and customer focus,  the organisation provides cover to a number of high hazard sectors including mass transport, maritime, oil & gas, nuclear, power generation, chemicals and refining/petrochemicals. The organisation is currently looking to strengthen its already successful operation in Dubai with the appointment of a senior chemical engineer to its downstream risk business covering refining  and petrochemicals. The successful candidate will undertake site based condition surveys, interview plant and maintenance managers and operators/technicians, review procedures and processes, undertake desk top risk assessments and produce insightful, lucid, technical reports for underwriters. The company is specifically looking for candidates from operating companies with extensive experience of downstream manufacturing operations that will include optimisation, trouble shooting, start-ups and commissioning. It is not looking, at this stage, for engineers from technical safety or design. The company is offering a highly competitive local package. Around 80 days local travel in EMEA can be expected annually.
