Our client is a major insurance services provider to high risk facilities including marine, mass transport, refinery, petrochemical , oil and gas and power plant worldwide. With substantial experience of hydrocarbon, refinery or petrochemical  operations, the jobholder will join a small but highly motivated team providing technical support to underwriters for the purposes of establishing risk and setting premiums. Candidates will undertake physical/condition assessments, review safety and operating practices and procedures across site production, operation and maintenance functions  and generally provide technical support and insight. An understanding of the business interruption issues associated with major, multi-unit downstream plant and their mitigation and management would be particularly welcome.   Our specifically seeks candidates from downstream operating companies interested in moving to insurance and is not looking for design or process safety engineers at this time.  Up to 80 days international travel a year can be expected.  Spanish, French & Italian language skills would be particularly welcome.
