Outstanding applicants are sought for the post of Teaching Fellow in the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Bath, UK. This fixed-term (33-month), full-time post is to provide inspirational teaching cover for seconded Department staff. The Department has been ranked third of all UK Chemical Engineering departments in recent years (Complete University Guide) partly due to the high satisfaction that undergraduate students have expressed of their experience, including via the National Student Survey. The Teaching Fellow will be expected to contribute to that success.
The successful applicant will have undergraduate and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering or very closely-related disciplines. They will have strong enthusiasm for, and ideally some recent experience of, teaching on a modern Chemical Engineering undergraduate syllabus, including in process and product design. They will be expected to teach at all undergraduate levels. This will include personal tutorials, classroom lectures and problem classes, and design and research project supervisions. There may also be some opportunities to be involved in laboratory classes and carry out visits to students on industrial placement.
