Job Title: Process Technician
Location: Swindon
Salary: £22,000 - £27,000

My client who are a global manufacturer for a growing industry are currently seeking a Process Technician to join their engineering team

Role

  • To understand the Manufacturing process and support production activity as required. (New model introduction etc.)
  • Maintain work shop standards (Electrical and Mechanical)
  • To carry out day to day production support activities

oNut runner tools adjustments to spec, DC & Air

oNut runner tool changes if faulty

oTorque analyser Calibration/ service checks

oTrouble shoot any automated equipment commissioned by engineering (Interlocks, Clamping, and production assisting equipment)

oSupport maintenance team if required

  • Electrical test lead Prototype building schematics pin layout record keeping
  • Communicate to other departments how to manufacture mass pro level leads
  • Engineering projects:

oSupport any project activities & keep track of progress

oDeal with RFQ inquiries from suppliers, provide necessary spec details

oVisit and / or meet external suppliers depending on project requirements

oProgress through projects with minimum support & supervision

  • Reporting on day to day activities to Engineering team, including any incidents.

Candidate

  • An Engineering qualification-HND, Apprentice time served or previous work experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Knowledge of engineering practices
  • Knowledge of Basic Electrical principles, Pneumatics, Mechanical functional
  • Understanding of Electrical Schema, Layout & CAD drawings
  • Understanding and knowledge of Sensors and Electro-mechanical devices
  • Knowledge of Process Automation, PLC systems and Electro Pneumatic systems is an advantage
  • Computer literacy is essential
  • Problem solving and analysis skills is essential
  • H&S knowledge, ISO & TS Standards is useful
  • Desire to take on challenges and progress through Projects
