Chemicals, Gases and Oil products Analyst
Our client is a successful and highly prestigious shipping consultancy offering a wide range of bespoke and generic advisory services including vessel and asset valuation and due diligence, vessel and cargo demand , supply and price forecasting and so on to banks, investors, government agencies ,statutory and verification bodies , ship owners and brokers, energy companies and traders etc.
The company’s immediate focus is on recruiting an emerging, but experienced chemicals/gases /oil products analyst with established skills and competencies in commodity chemicals/hydrocarbons commercial analysis. Although ideally acquired in a key product area like NGL, LNG, LPG or ammonia, candidate experience would be welcome from other chemical or gas commodity value chains such as olefins/BTX/fertilizers/methanol, etc. The critical requirement is an understanding of the global and local commercial variables that inform the development of reliable demand, supply and pricing forecasts for chemical/ hydrocarbon commodities - the principal cargoes for our client’s clients and ,as a consequence , a major driver of shipping economics and pricing. The job holder is likely to be a chemical engineer or economist with an excellent first degree (or equivalent), from a leading university with competencies and skills acquired within chemicals/ hydrocarbons consulting. A knowledge of the shipping industry is an advantage, but isn’t essential. Our client is not looking for engineers with a design background at this time.
Interested and suitably qualified candidates should forward a plain Word version of their CV with a brief covering letter, please click apply to do so.
