Manpower is partnering with leading construction chemicals manufacturer Sika in their search for a Maintenance Manager. To join the Sika team at their Preston facility, the Maintenance Manager will be instrumental in ensuring that the site is able to perform an efficient manufacturing service.

With a global presence underpinned by a reputation for high quality, innovative speciality chemicals products, the business is well underway with ambitious expansion plans for 2017. The Preston site is well-established, and is one of their two Global Technology Centres.

In this pivotal role as Maintenance Manager, your core challenges will include;
*Providing leadership and direction to the Sika maintenance team, to ensure that site equipment is continually operating at maximum efficiency
*Playing a leading role in major projects across the site to provide Engineering and Maintenance expertise
*Delivering process safety improvements
*Ensuring that the site is up to date and in line with EHS regulations
*Overseeing the continued implementation and ongoing development of a planned preventative maintenance programme (PPM)
*Assisting with the development of the site HSE plan in line with the location's responsibilities as a [lower tier] COMAH site
*Controlling the maintenance budget whilst identifying areas for CapEx investment or cost-savings
*Providing coaching and mentoring to the Sika maintenance team, whilst facilitating continued professional development
*Working closely with other UK sites to share best-practice and when needed, lead strategic maintenance projects

*Proven track record of leading maintenance within a chemicals, oil & gas or petrochemical environment
*Strong understanding and practical application of health and safety
*In-depth knowledge and practical implementation of planned preventative maintenance programmes
*Experience of leading cross-functional teams
*A champion for promoting an EHS culture
*Able to strategically plan and execute full lifecycle, cross-functional projects
