Process/Production Engineer – North Wales – Salary £20,000 – £30,000 depending on experience
Our client is moving its manufacturing plant to North Wales. The Process Engineer / Production Engineer will play a critical part in establishing production capability at the North Wales plant. Activities will be focused on duplicating existing process methods to ensure little or no deviation from existing process capabilities. Ongoing process optimisation through the application of LEAN and six sigma techniques to maximise production yields. Providing a knowledge ”bridge” between R&D and manufacturing. With production established there will be an on-going requirement to provide daily technical support to the manufacturing cells.

Duties
Duplicate existing process methods being used in current manufacturing facility.
Utilise LEAN and six sigma techniques to the manufacturing process
Provide ”on the ground” technical guidance and support to the manufacturing cells.
Monitor and improve process capability applying industry standard techniques.
Rapid problem resolution to process deviations or quality issues.
Liaise with R&D department

Qualifications & Experience
Prior knowledge and expertise in a ”fast turn” Cable assembly environment is essential.
Processing or Production Engineering experience
Technical qualifications to an ONC or equivalent
Six Sigma Green belt or higher.
LEAN Practitioner
Candidates with less qualifications will be considered if from a relevant industry background.
Must have good IT skills
Analytical approach to problem solving using industry standard techniques
Attention to detail and an understanding of quality processes.
Technical report writing.
Good communicator with capability to articulate technical explanations.
