Pharmaceutical company is looking to appoint process technicians in Bristol £29k+ shift allowance!

Global Pharmaceutical company is looking to appoint several Shift Process technicians to their factory based in Bristol 

The roles are permanent to start in February. 

Offered starters salary £29k with the salary going to £31k after full training. 

This is a role based on 12 hour shifts (5 shift pattern 14x12h shifts on and 12 days off).

The successful candidates will also receive shift allowance that will be £8k/year.

Ideally we are looking for technically minded people with experience in automated manufacturing environment. Compliance, chemistry, mechanical and engineering  background would be an advantage. 

Ultimately though if you are technically minded and able to learn quickly, we would love to hear from you.

Graduates are welcome to apply as training will be provided.


Role Purpose: 

As a member of the operations team, operate and control the multi-stage manufacturing production plant with compliance to legislation.

Main Duties and Accountabilities: 
Manufacture and pack a range of product(s) for a plant/section to meet production targets, and quality/SHE standards.
Set-up, changeover, clean and maintain relevant, critical operating equipment to enable the smooth running of the plant/section/unit to meet GMP & SHE standards.

Calibrate and test equipment, sample and inspect products, to ensure that they meet with GMP & SHE standards.

Complete, reconcile and sign-off relevant plant specific documentation to meet with GMP standards and to ensure effective communication across plant.
Work effectively as a member of the team in order to ensure that effective communication channels and efficient working practices are maintained within the working period/team.
Diagnose and take steps to resolve essential equipment/product quality service issues to ensure the continued smooth running of the plant/section/unit Interface with relevant functions (e.g. Technical Officers, Chemists, Contractors, Trade Person) to resolve operational and product quality issues.

Identify areas for improvement and take the necessary actions to enable continuous improvement programme. Processing, reviewing, monitoring, data gathering, for research projects with PR&D to enable effective developments/research in the plant environment within SHE & GMP standards.
Reconfigures/commissions/decommissions chemical plant and services to achieve QA standards and ensure effective continuous production.

Ideally the successful candidate will have the following experience/ skills: 

Knowledge of SOP’s, COMAH, SHEP and compliance with GMP SHE specific responsibilities e.g. PTW, risk assessments IPC, COSHH, Fire Auxiliary and manual handling, Fire Warden, First Aid trained Operational knowledge of specific equipment and product manufacturing processes within local plant area. 

This could include a requirement for a Fork lift truck driving licence Ability to schedule and adjust work on a daily/weekly basis to meet the monthly plan.  

Numeracy and literacy, ability to complete batch sheet entries, comments and calculations.  

Must have basic IT, numeracy and literacy skills.

Basic understanding of incident management and broad knowledge of site control measures.  

Extensive knowledge and use of process control systems.
