This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Plastic Moulding Process Engineer to join a leading Automotive Manufacturing firm. Due to internal promotion they are now recruiting for a Process to join their team in Worcestershire, in a role which will be integral to supporting quality and process improvements within a fast moving plant that is undergoing an exciting period of change and turnaround activity. 

Senior Process Engineer - Plastic Injection Moulding 
Salary circa: to £45,000 + benefits 
Location: Worcestershire 

As an Injection Moulding Process Engineer you will be responsible for sustaining, developing and improving the Mould Department process and equipment in order to fully meet all departmental objectives. 
Implementation of new mould tooling and process control. 
o Development of Mould tooling and moulding quality. 
o Investigate mould process faults and implement firm countermeasure. 
o Ensure mould tooling are fully optimised and maintained correctly. 
o Optimising current mould tool change over and process repeatability. 
o Development of new machine technology and training of production personal. 
o Responsible for cycle time improvements to mould process; reduction in mould tool changes over times; reduce scrap levels. 
o Continual improvement activities: Automation, training, 5C's, Genba. 

You will already possess several years experience gained in a similar Process Engineer or Process Technician role related to high volume plastic injection moulding. 
o HND/ Degree level education in an engineering or science based subject 
o Experienced in Injection Moulding manufacturing - including tooling. 
o Logical approach to problem solving with an ability to work well under pressure. 
o Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative. 
o High level of proficient written & verbal communication. 
o Confidence to be able to develop staff and processes. 
o Must be organised, efficient & regimented. 
o Have an understanding of APQP, FMEA, PPAP and control plans
