Job Purpose:

  • To be responsible for site process engineering systems and support, ensuring process engineering support is given to production, quality and development departments.
  • Ensure process efficiencies are maintained and all relevant standards are complied with.


  • Maintain and comply with all relevant health and safety standards
  • Complete and control all relevant process engineering documents
  • Support production breakdown including route cause analysis and 8D where required
  • Monitor/Control use of production tooling including press tools, curling wheels, guides and spindles
  • Complete customer 8D when required
  • Utilise and develop relevant World Class Manufacturing systems
  • Create and maintain, from standard documentation, manufacturing packs including, but not limited to, process flows, Process F.M.E.A.’s, machine control plans, standard operating and set up procedures, gauging plans, process control plans, packaging specifications
  • Monitor and maintain production tooling, maximising life and performance
  • Support and develop production teams knowledge of processes and machines
  • Support Manufacturing leaders relating to process
  • Ensure process engineering compliance with relevant internal and external standards including ISO9001, ISO14001
  • Support site improvement programs relating to process engineering
  • Support site project team relating to new process/machine introduction
  • Advise development department on current manufacturing capability relating to new product introduction
  • Liaise with and support purchasing and supplier development departments within area of expertise


  • (Essential) Process control/engineering
  • (Essential) Methodically fault find
  • (Essential) Process Chemistry
  • (Important) Developed I.T. and presentation skills.
  • Construction of control documents (Training, process)


  • O.N.C. mechanical or process engineering, (Minimum)
  • H.N.C. mechanical or process engineering
  • Related Degree, (Preferred)
