About Our Client

My client is a Global Organisation with numerous sites across Europe. They are going through a extended period of growth, which has allowed them to invest in capital equipment and an extended site. Alongside these improvements, there has been the need to bring in high calibre additions to their team.

There is an opportunity for an experienced Process Technician to join their site on the outskirts of Glasgow.

Job Description

The Process Technician will contribute to the Mould shop and Company efficiency by maximising machine availability and optimising processes and product quality, all in accordance with priorities set by Production management.

The successful Process Technician duties will include, but will not be limited, to the following:

  • Implement machine Start-ups, achieving targeted cycle-time and specified quality as quickly as possible, and following strict first off procedure
  • Implement machine shutdown and last off procedure with maximum efficiency
  • Carry out machine set-up, purging and repair / remedial in accordance with shift leaders priorities
  • Set up and adjust ancillary equipment, including conveyors, robots, printing equipment and to maximise operating efficiency
  • Achieve best-possible processing performance in all process-setting, calibration and adjustment, trouble-shooting, etc., logging settings and changes and keeping secure records of the same
  • Co-operate fully with Quality auditors, cell and team leaders, etc. in agreeing and achieving customer quality standards
  • Liaise with team and cell leaders and operators over process actions taken and advise on diagnostic signs and prevention
  • Report regularly to team and cell leaders regarding actions and reasons, plus revised priorities
  • Minimise scrap, logging and explaining results
  • Tidy up materials, scrap, tools and equipment after all operations, and hand over conditions to following shift as they would wish to receive them
  • Ensure all machine process equipment meet the set housekeeping standards prior to hand over to production
