Role Includes:

Health, Safety and Environment - Apply safety & environmental standards for the technical engineering group and actively seek ‘best practise’

Technical Engineering - Carry out feasibility studies for new or revised processes to ensure that an optimum balance is sought between technical suitability, operability and cost-efficiency

Quality - Maintain an awareness of cGMP and other appropriate quality standards within the Pharmaceutical industry and ensure that best practice is applied to process engineering designs

Teamwork - Provide expert technical advice to the customers of the Process Engineering group (Production, Quality & Safety) to ensure that their needs are identified, satisfied and business goals are met

Training - Identify any required training needed to allow the role to be carried out effectively and to enable the role to be performed at the required standard

Finance & Commercial - Review designs to ensure an optimum balance between technical suitability, operability and cost-efficiency.

 

Required Qualifications:

Educated to Degree Level in Chemical Engineering or Related Discipline

Chartered Status in Engineering

 

Required Experience

Comprehensive technical knowledge of batch chemical processing and related operations

Sound knowledge of chemical process plant and equipment

Experience of process design, commissioning and production support of primary pharmaceutical, batch process manufacture

Understanding of chemical processing/engineering implications of HSE legislation and cGMP regulatory requirements

Project management skills and experience used in a technical environment

Technical problem solving skills within a process plant environment

 

Remuneration:

£40 to £50K
